Job Advertisement: Site and Facilities Manager (Working across St Matthews Campus Including WSS,TLS & Digital Skills Hub) Proposed Working Hours: 37 Hours Per Week Working Weeks: All Year Round Expected Start Date: 01st September 2025 Closing Date for Applications: 21st July 2025 We are seeking a motivated and experienced Site and Facilities Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of our school’s estate. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and development of our premises, supporting the delivery of high-quality education in a safe and inspiring environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead on all aspects of premises management including maintenance, security, health and safety, and facilities compliance. Manage refurbishments, expansions, and building projects from planning through to delivery. Develop and implement a planned maintenance programme and ensure statutory compliance. Oversee site staff and contractors, ensuring high standards of service and safety. Act as the designated competent person for Health & Safety, maintaining risk assessments and leading the school’s Health & Safety committee. Manage budgets and procurement processes in line with Trust financial regulations. Support school events and ensure the site is prepared for key activities throughout the year. About You: We are looking for someone with: Proven experience in Site and Facilities management, ideally within an educational setting. Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget. Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and Building Management Systems (BMS). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. A proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach to work. Essential Qualifications and Experience: IOSHH qualification. GCSEs (AC) in English and Maths or equivalent. Experience managing contractors and liaising with senior stakeholders.
