Overview
We’re looking for a proactive and eager-to-learn Customer Service Apprentice to support our busy engineering team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on experience within a technical and customer-focused environment while working towards a recognized qualification.
You’ll play a key part in keeping communication flowing between our internal teams and customers, helping ensure our service operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities / specific tasks:
* Assist with processing engineer paperwork and job documentation
* Support the engineering team with administrative tasks and scheduling
* Act as a communication link between the Service, Sales, and Technical teams
* Answer incoming customer calls and log service enquiries accurately
* Help ensure all customer records are kept up to date in our CRM system
* Learn and apply best practices in customer service and internal coordination
* Complete apprenticeship training requirements alongside your daily tasks
KPI’s:
* Help to ensure engineer paperwork and service documentation is processed within 24 hours of receipt.
* Contribute to maintaining a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of [e.g. 70+] through prompt, friendly, and effective customer interaction.
* Ensure 100% of service enquiries are logged and passed to the correct team in a timely manner.
* Complete all apprenticeship training modules on schedule.
* Demonstrate increasing independence and reduced need for supervision over the first 6–12 months.

Professional experience & background:
* Strong communication and listening skills
* Comfortable handling customer phone calls professionally
* Basic IT skills (email, data entry, file management)
* Interest in engineering or technical industries is a plus
