Job Title: Crushing and Screening Fitter
Job Purpose: The Crushing and Screening Fitter is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing crushing and screening equipment used in construction, mining, and quarry operations. This includes troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, ensuring equipment runs efficiently, and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on crushing and screening machinery. Repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of crushers, screens, conveyors, and related equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose faults on crushing and screening plant equipment.
2. Installation & Commissioning: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new crushing and screening equipment. Ensure equipment is installed in compliance with company and industry standards.
3. Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Complete risk assessments and hazard identifications before work. Ensure all work complies with safety standards.
4. Equipment Inspection & Reporting: Conduct regular inspections, identify signs of wear or damage, and complete detailed reports. Maintain records of maintenance and equipment history.
5. Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Respond to breakdowns, repair equipment on-site or in the workshop, and collaborate with engineers for complex issues.
6. Customer Interaction: Provide technical support and assist in training site personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance and repair of crushing and screening machinery, preferably in mining, quarry, or construction industries.
* Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
* Proficient with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and hand tools.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Relevant health and safety certifications (e.g., IOSH).
* Valid driver's license (may require travel).
Physical & Personal Skills:
* Ability to work in challenging environments (dusty, noisy, outdoor).
* Physically fit for manual labor and heavy lifting.
