Overview
We are looking to recruit a Support Assistant Digital Connections to join our Carers and Community Support Team on a temporary, full-time basis. The purpose of the role is to assist users to access up-to-date online information, advice and assistance, and to maximise the team’s digital presence to connect individuals with appropriate organisations and professionals across Ceredigion.
The role includes planning, developing and running interventions that promote good outcomes, increasing safety and resilience of service users.
Responsibilities
* Assist in ensuring online information, advice and assistance is up to date and relevant to the identified needs of service users.
* Promote and develop use of Dewis and other digital platforms by individuals, organisations and professionals.
* Assist in developing and carrying out specific programs of work with service users on a 1-1 or group basis, working alongside other professionals and agencies, particularly within the digital world.
* Prepare reports, publicity materials, other documents and social media posts when required.
* Contribute to the team’s digital strategy and participate in ongoing development activities to enable rapid ownership of key areas of responsibility.
* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with people.
* Demonstrate excellent IT skills across a range of systems and tools (e.g., social care client databases, email, learning programs, Microsoft applications).
* Work constructively as part of a team and on own initiative.
Qualifications and language
* Degree of fluency in the Welsh language; a successful applicant without the required Welsh language skill will be supported to reach the desired standard within two years of appointment.
