Job Title: Business Development Manager - Solar PV

Overview
We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable Business Development Manager to win, develop, and grow relationships with housing developers and housebuilders. This role focuses on selling Solar PV solutions and associated lowcarbon technologies into newbuild residential projects. The successful candidate will take the lead on consultative, specificationled sales, supporting clients in meeting Building Regulations, planning conditions, and sustainability targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Identify, win, and grow new business opportunities with housing developers, housebuilders, and construction partners
2. Manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through to contract award
3. Promote Solar PV and related lowcarbon technologies into newbuild residential markets
4. Provide consultative, technical guidance to clients on regulations, planning conditions, sustainability objectives, and viable system design options
5. Build strong, longterm relationships with key stakeholders and decisionmakers in the construction and residential development sectors
6. Develop clientspecific proposals, specifications, and pricing packages
7. Monitor market developments, industry changes, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
8. Collaborate with internal design, engineering, and project delivery teams to ensure smooth project handover
Skills & Experience
9. Background in construction or residential development (essential)
10. Understanding of Solar PV, lowcarbon technologies, or renewable energy (advantageous; willingness to learn essential)
11. Strong business development and clientfacing skills, with experience building and maintaining longterm partnerships
12. Consultative sales approach with the ability to support clients through specification and regulatory requirements
13. Fast learner with the ability to quickly understand technical solutions and industry trends
14. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
15. Highly proactive, selfmotivated, and commercially focused
