What's involved with this role: Office Based Evidence Reviewer & Court Processor JM BL 371043 - Devon & Cornwall £13.43 per hour PAYE Contract Length: 12 months Location: Plymouth, Devon Our Client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Evidence Reviewer & Court Processor. This role is key in ensuring that road traffic offences are reviewed thoroughly and that offenders are dealt with appropriately—either through educational diversion courses or via the court process. This role would suit someone who is highly organised, has excellent attention to detail, and is confident working with both digital systems and partner organisations. Responsibilities: Review evidence including collision reports, digital submissions, and officer-issued tickets, and determine the most appropriate course of action in line with legislation and policy. Accurately input and update information on case management systems. Prepare and build digital case files for progression through the Single Justice System (SJP). Collaborate with partner agencies including the Crown Prosecution Service, courts, DVLA, and road safety partners to ensure successful prosecutions. Provide advice and support to colleagues, partner agencies, and members of the public regarding evidence submissions and case progression. Contribute to maintaining high standards and adherence to agreed protocols across agencies. Assist in arranging and supporting effective court hearings and trials. Essential Skills & Experience: Ability to work independently and use initiative. Strong IT skills with proven experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. An understanding of how the Criminal Justice System deals with road traffic offences. Training and Development: Full training will be provided, including the use of case management and evidence systems. Further role-specific training will also be undertaken as required.
