At Okarno, we are looking for an Area Sales Manager to work with our customers across trade & decorative clients in Scotland.
You will work closely with customers in builders' merchants, buying groups, and decorator centres to implement a profitable and targeted sales plan, service our clients, and improve our market share.
This role covers Scotland, mainly between Glasgow and Edinburgh, but may also require travel beyond. Successful candidates will need a full UK driving license.
What we're looking for:
* Experience in sales, preferably within construction/distribution or similar industries
* Proactive attitude with the ability to identify opportunities and ask insightful questions
* Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
* Capability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
What you will be doing:
* Service and grow opportunities across the client base proactively
* Participate in price increase discussions, support and negotiate commercial deals and promotional activities
* Visit customer bases regularly to maintain and grow key relationships
* Act as the main contact between customers and internal teams including customer service, finance, and demand planners
