As the Head of Sales across reallymoving (comparison website for home moving services) and The Law Superstore (comparison website for legal experts), you will be responsible for creating and executing the sales growth strategy, driving revenue by expanding and strengthening our partner network, offer hands-on leadership to motivate, mentor and lead our high-performing sales and account management team. You will be a strategic thinker that is also across the numbers and the detail, especially partner performance and profitability. Therefore, you’ll have strong commercial acumen and be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). As Head of Sales, you will have a digital mindset and be able to align towards partner and customer expectations. You will work closely with other team leaders to shape strategy, align priorities and deliver on the company’s growth ambitions. The Head of Sales role is offered on a hybrid basis requiring a minimum of 2 days a week attendance at our office in central St Albans, a short walk from St Albans City station. You will also be required to attend the office for company team days and occasional ad-hoc meetings. Key Responsibilities Commercial Growth and Partner Development • Create and deliver the commercial sales strategy for partner acquisition, retention and growth to exceed revenue targets • Oversee identifying, approaching, and onboarding new partners from prospecting to contract completion, ensuring commercially beneficial agreements • Drive improved performance and retention of existing partners through proactive account management, value-led initiatives and long-term relationship building • Develop propositions for new verticals or markets to extend reach and diversify revenue • Using data, feedback and monitor market trends, competitor activity and regulatory changes to stay ahead and adjust strategies accordingly • Understand the dynamics of customer acquisition costs and partner revenues Leadership and Team Development • Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing sales and account management team, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration and results • Recruit, coach and retain talented individuals who can deliver against ambitious targets • Set clear KPIs, monitor performance and ensure continuous improvement Strategic and Cross-functional Collaboration • Play an active role on the SLT, influencing overall business strategy and decision-making • Work with marketing, product and operations teams to ensure seamless partner experiences from onboarding to ongoing performance management • Partner with the technology team to enhance partner dashboards, reporting tools and self-service capabilities to improve scalability and efficiency • Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities and in the media as a credible ambassador of our brands Operational Excellence • Oversee partner compliance with quality standards, manage partner reviews and resolve escalated issues effectively • Manage and optimise the use of CRM tools (PipeDrive for sales and in-house CRM for partner management) • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance partner satisfaction and team efficiency What You Will Bring • Proven senior sales leadership experience in lead generation, property, legal or related sectors, with a strong record of scaling partner networks • Commercial acumen with the ability to structure and negotiate complex deals that deliver value to both parties • Proven ability to negotiate optimum commercial terms and/or incremental growth opportunities externally, and to win the support of stakeholders and colleagues for internal projects and strategies • Success in winning new business and growing existing accounts • Experience leading, motivating and developing sales teams to achieve high performance • Understanding of the home moving ecosystem, including legal, property, surveying, removals or similar sectors • Experience of working in, or alongside, digital teams • Confident communicator and networker, able to engage at senior levels and represent the business externally, including on social media • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making • Ambitious, proactive and entrepreneurial mindset • Be comfortable working with our company values. o Customer obsessed: We start with the customer and work backwards. o Ambitious: We think long term, we think big, and we value calculated risk taking o Humble: We are vocally self-critical and respectfully challenge others’ opinions o United: We are one team o We’re people people: We care about our colleagues and the communities we live and work in Why Join Us • Be part of the Senior Leadership Team shaping the future of a growing and innovative business • Lead a core commercial function with the freedom to innovate and deliver results • Work in a fast-paced environment where your impact is visible and valued • Competitive salary, performance bonus and benefits package What to expect from our recruitment process. • Virtual HR competency-based interview with HR Manager – approx. 45-60 minutes. • Virtual or face to face interview with CEO & Head of Marketing – approx. 45- 60 minutes. • Final face-to-face interview/presentation with CEO & SLT approx. 1.5-2 hours.
