Materials Operations Support Specialist
The Materials and Operations Support Specialist is a highly energetic person who thrives in fast paced and constantly evolving environments. A vital part of our construction and materials team, you will support both day-to-day and long-term projects across multiple sectors of the company. Your focus and efforts will ensure that all the necessary motions behind the scenes operate on time and without issue.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Own and maintain the inventory management process, including the database and production records, sales, and transfers, ensuring information is accurately recorded.
* Analyze and reconcile all inventory discrepancies through technology and in conjunction with the Accounting department.
* Ensure that aggregate products are passing state or localized standards for each given product.
* Create and maintain an operational schedule for each quarry, including recording and tracking production labor hours, maintenance days and parts replacements.
* Drive the company’s environmental regulatory process.
* Utilize sales and production projections to accurately plan production days or weeks in advance.
* Support management with various projects as needed, such as scheduling and other administrative duties as assigned.
* Coordinate administrative functions in construction with project managers, contractors and other stakeholders.
* Assist in creation and management of project schedules and budgets
* Assist in the management of materials, equipment
* Monitoring project costs and tracking expenses
* Assist in resolving technical issues that arise during a construction project
* Develop and promote standardization and documentation of best practices and processes.
* Travel between all Haynes locations as needed.
* Research pricing/options from different vendors for special projects to present to Operations Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:

* You are computer savvy, and proficient at Excel.
* You have an excellent ability to manage time and prioritize work.
* You are a self-starter capable of operating independently.
* You are detail oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture.
* You have strong communication skills (written and verbal), a problem solver and an independent thinker.
* You are flexible, detail oriented and great at multi-tasking.
* You possess purchasing knowledge/negotiation skills for special projects.
* You have exceptional organizational skills and the ability to apply those skills to administrative systems that make life easier for the people you are supporting.
* You are a team player who is not afraid to take on assignments that appear above or beneath you.
* Exceptional communication skills in keeping the team up to date on production and quality control issues, as well as communicating with other companies for special projects.
* High school diploma or equivalent required, experience in a construction and/or materials company a plus.
