Marina Operative (Forklift) - Dorset Marina Full Training provided Are you hands-on, practical, and not afraid of a bit of hard work? We're recruiting for a Dry Stack Operative for a busy marina in Dorset. This role is a Forklift/Yard Operative, someone who can join the team and help keep boats moving smoothly in and out of storage. About the Role As a Forklift operative / Dry Stack Operative, your main focus will be operating a large marina forklift to safely move boats between dry stack storage and the water. You'll be fully trained, so prior marina experience isn't necessary—what matters most is a positive attitude and a willingness to work hard. Your day-to-day will include: Operating marina forklifts and lifting equipment (training provided) Launching and recovering customer boats Assisting customers when they arrive at the marina Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe Supporting the team with general yard and customer service tasks Maintaining machinery and equipment on a regular basis During the summer months, the pace can be fast, but it's a rewarding environment where every day is different. About You We're looking for someone who: Is happy working outdoors in all weather Stays calm, practical, and safety-focused when operating machinery Enjoys hands-on work and being part of a team Is friendly and approachable with customers Loves learning new skills Forklift or machinery experience is a bonus but not essential—full training will be provided.
