Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
1. Provide an effective, efficient, and flexible service to all suppliers, customers, and colleagues alike.
2. Carry out all functions relating to the warehouse, including order scheduling and assembly, replenishment, picking, stock enquiries, and checking.
3. Ensure accurate checking (manual process) and other associated procedures relating to goods received and goods dispatched.
4. Promote a positive company image through your accuracy, knowledge, and attitude to the job.
5. Accurately and efficiently pick orders and complete all paperwork.
6. Ensure incoming and outgoing loads are dealt with efficiently and comply with safety and legal requirements.
7. Monitor stock levels.
8. Ensure that all goods are stored under the appropriate conditions.
9. Minimize waste, losses, and damage.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Essential Criteria:
1. Good communication and organisational skills.
2. A team player with experience in working to deadlines.
3. Ability to work on their own initiative and organise shift duties.
4. High level of productivity.
5. Good all-round general housekeeping skills.
6. Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Desirable criteria:
1. Previous warehouse picking experience advantageous.
2. Manual Handling training.
3. Forklift truck License (counterbalance & Reach) and PPT advantageous, full training provided.
4. Maintain good punctuality and adhere to working time directives.
5. Be flexible and adaptable.
