Job Description
Our client, a well-established main contractor based in Wakefield, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. Specialising in new build projects across the residential, commercial and predominately the care home sector, the company operates nationally, with project values typically ranging from £8m-£15m.
This is an exciting opportunity to take commercial responsibility for large-scale new build projects, working closely with a supportive senior team and enjoying clear, long-term progression prospects.
Quantity Surveyor - Benefits
* Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 (dependent on experience)

Quantity Surveyor - Role Overview
* Oversee the commercial and contractual management of 1-2 live projects
* Manage new build care home schemes and similar large-scale projects from inception to completion
* Produce valuations, forecasts, reconciliations, and cost reports
* Administer subcontractor packages, valuations, and payments
* Ensure robust financial and commercial project performance
* Report directly to the Commercial Director
* Travel to site approximately 2-3 times per month (mainly Greater London and surrounding areas)
Quantity Surveyor - Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential and/or commercial construction
* Experience working on new build care home projects (advantageous)
* Ability to manage multiple project responsibilities with accuracy and attention to detail
* Self-motivated, with strong commercial and contractual awareness
* Willingness to travel nationally as required
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Based within commutable distance to Wakefield
