Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Full Time
Location: Sunderland
Contract: Full time, long term
Start: ASAP
Pay: £95 to £120 per day (PAYE)
Calling all confident HLTAs who enjoy leading groups, jumping into lessons, and supporting pupils with additional needs. This is a brilliant chance to join a caring, specialist provision where your skills will be valued and used daily.
In this role, you will:
* Lead small-group learning sessions
* Deliver pre-planned lessons when needed
* Support learners with communication and sensory needs
* Work closely with the SEND team to adapt resources
* Be a friendly, steady presence for pupils who need consistency
What we’re looking for:
* HLTA status or strong experience in a similar role
* Confidence leading learning
* Strong communication and organisation
* Experience with SEND pupils is a big advantage

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
