Qualifications
Registered with the appropriate governing body and have relevant qualifications and post registration in surgery/anaesthetics experience, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner.
Responsibilities
* Conduct and organise the Clinical/Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, which includes the smooth running of the theatre lists and organising booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres
* Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department, which include Endoscopy, General, Orthopedics, Gynae
* Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement and ensure policies and procedures, to enhance patient care and service delivery
* Have extensive knowledge required for dealing with audits and equipment
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment
* Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training
