Role Overvi ew:As Finance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy and ensuring operational efficiency. Here’s what you’ll be responsible f or: Leadership and Oversi ght:Oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy finance function, including effective line management within the t eam.Collaborate closely with the Finance Director and Financial Controller to achieve departmental targ ets.Team Developm ent:Coordinate staff development initiatives, conducting regular staff appraisals and fostering professional gr owthFacilitate one-on-one sessions to support team members’ career progress ion.Financial Report ing:Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and annual statutory accou nts.Present financial performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) during internal and to clie nts.Budgeting and Cont rol:Lead the preparation of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational go als.Maintain day-to-day control over all aspects of profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet managem ent.Client Interact ion:Address ad hoc customer requests promptly and effectively, meeting required deadli nes.Develop financial reporting structures that enhance business va lue.Stakeholder Engagem ent:Ensure our customer-facing finance colleagues meet the needs of both internal and external stakehold ers.Provide comprehensive financial reports, including primary financial reports, trading dashboards, and divisional and client financial informat ion.Performance Evaluat ion:Continuously review and report actual financial performance against bud get.Back up your insights with clear documentation and explanations, adding value to our decision-making proces ses.Process Excelle nce:Drive continuous process improvement initiatives, enhancing efficiency and effectiven ess. Qualifications and Experi ence:Qualified Accou ntant: Ideally ACCA, CIMA, or CA, with relevant post-qualification experience (2-3 years). Qbe’s with relevant experience are also welcome to a pply.Exper ience: Significant experience in a finance manager role or an outstanding candidate ready for the next step.
