Operating Cost & GNFR Procurement Manager (Indirect Spend)

Location: Kenilworth, Warwickshire (office based)

Working pattern: 3–5 days per week considered

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Auditel is one of the UK's leading operating cost consultancies, helping medium and large organisations optimise and reduce their GNFR (goods not for resale) and indirect operating costs.

Working from our newly developed modern offices in Kenilworth, our small and experienced team supports clients across a wide range of sectors to deliver commercial procurement improvements and measurable cost savings. Much of our work is delivered on a results-based model, meaning that savings must be clearly identified, validated and evidenced.

We work closely with senior leadership teams and private equity investors, helping businesses improve cost efficiency across a wide range of operational spend categories.

Team Structure

Our core team works from our Kenilworth office, although some team members are based remotely in Scotland, Manchester and London. We stay closely connected as a team and communicate regularly, often daily, using Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced indirect procurement professional to join our team as an Operating Cost & GNFR Procurement Manager. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who already has solid experience managing GNFR or indirect procurement projects and can operate with a high degree of autonomy. You will typically be given a list of spend categories or suppliers for a client, along with an agreed methodology and guidance on supplier selection. Your role will be to lead the procurement process from analysis through to negotiation, implementation and delivery of validated savings, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and commercially. Because of the nature of our work, you will regularly interact with senior stakeholders including C-suite executives and, in some cases, private equity investors.

Typical Spend Categories

Projects may involve reviewing and optimising spend across areas such as:

* Logistics (parcels, freight and ocean)
* Packaging
* Energy
* Facilities management and maintenance
* Payment processing and payment solutions
* IT and telecommunications
* Fleet
* EPOS systems
* Waste and recycling
* Uniform and PPE
* Other operating cost and GNFR categories

In essence, this covers anything required to operate a business that is not sold directly to the customer.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage procurement and cost optimisation projects across GNFR and indirect spend categories
* Analyse spend data and identify cost reduction opportunities
* Run sourcing exercises and supplier negotiations
* Quantify, validate and evidence cost savings achieved
* Engage with senior stakeholders within client organisations
* Manage supplier selection, contracting and implementation
* Deliver measurable commercial outcomes for clients

Systems and Tools

The role involves working with a range of internal and client systems including:

* ClickUp for project and workflow management
* HubSpot for client and relationship management
* Bespoke Auditel systems and analytics tools
* AI-enabled tools used to support research and analysis
* Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams

Comfort using modern digital tools and systems is therefore important.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who already has practical experience in indirect procurement and cost optimisation and can contribute quickly within a small, experienced team.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

* Experience in GNFR, indirect procurement or operating cost categories
* Strong commercial and negotiation skills
* Experience managing procurement projects independently
* Confidence dealing with senior stakeholders
* The ability to identify, deliver and evidence procurement savings

Professional qualifications such as CIPS, AAT, ACA or ACCA would be beneficial but are not essential. We place greater emphasis on relevant experience and a proven ability to deliver commercial results.
