Offer description

Are you an experienced, organised, and people-focused leader with a background in financial planning support? We’re looking for an Advice Delivery Manager (ADM) to join our growing Financial Planning teams. In this role, you’ll lead and develop the teams that support our Financial Planners and their clients—helping us deliver exceptional service every step of the way. Why Saltus? Our mission is to improve everyone’s relationship with their wealth: to make it a positive force for their future and at the same time to prevent it being a source of anxiety. We want everyone who works at Saltus to be proud to work here, and to find fulfilment and meaning in the work that they do. We are a successful LLP, with a number of different offices. We are incredibly proud of our culture and work really hard to ensure that Saltus is a great place to work for our people, where they can have fun and grow in their career, with a passion for excellence and customer service. Saltus is an independently owned financial planning and discretionary investment management house. We are dedicated to providing a high-quality service for private clients, trusts, and smaller institutions. Saltus was founded in 2004 and has grown organically and through a small number of carefully integrated acquisitions. Originally the business started out as an investment manager and has now developed the financial planning side of the offering, putting this at the forefront of the client relationship. Today Saltus manages and advises on over £8.5 billion of client assets, acquired through a combination of organic business growth and corporate acquisitions. What will I be doing? As an ADM, you’ll be a key part of the leadership team within your regional hub. You’ll manage our Paraplanning and Planning Support teams, ensuring they’re operating efficiently, delivering high-quality support to Advisers, and enhancing the client experience. You’ll be the go to person for workflow and service delivery, keeping things running smoothly so that our Advisers can spend more time focused on what matters most: their clients. You’ll also play a big role in developing your team, embedding consistent processes, and helping us improve how we do things across the business. Tasks will include: Report directly to the Pod Leader, ensuring leadership is embedded within the Pod structure. Support Pod Leaders and Advisers by ensuring seamless workflow management and resource allocation. Oversee the performance of the Advice Support Functions (Paraplanning & Planning Support), ensuring operational excellence. Own the hiring and performance management of team members, working closely with the People team to ensure alignment with company standards. Ensure full accountability for team structure, service delivery, and Adviser support functions. Drive operational efficiency within the Advice Support Functions, ensuring teams work collaboratively and effectively. Leverage MI to implement robust performance metrics, ensuring Advisers and clients receive seamless, high-quality support while effectively supporting the Paraplanner bonus scheme. Act as a first point of contact for any team issues or escalations. Support structured onboarding for new hires within Advice Support Functions, ensuring seamless integration into Pod operations. Work closely with the People and Training teams to drive ongoing professional development forward. What skills and experience do I need to have? To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have: Strong operational oversight with expertise in financial planning, paraplanning, and client support. Skilled in performance monitoring, using MI to drive improvements and support structured bonus schemes. Proven leadership and team management within financial services, ensuring efficiency and service excellence. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in paraplanning or client services. Excellent stakeholder management, collaborating with leadership, training, and support teams. Strategic and organised, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all processes. Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach to enhance Adviser and client experiences. Familiarity with FCA regulations and compliance standards within financial advice firms. This role is ideal for someone with extensive knowledge of Paraplanning and Client Services, a passion for developing high-performing teams, and the ability to drive operational efficiencies while maintaining a high standard of client support. What type of person would work best in this role? Strategic thinker with extensive experience in Paraplanning, Client Services, and Financial Planning. Competent, approachable leader focused on excellence in client experience. Thrives in a busy environment, managing deadlines while staying calm. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and clear communication. Excellent verbal and written communication, including proofreading and grammar skills. Proactive approach to solving operational challenges. Do you require any qualifications? It’s not essential to have financial planning qualifications such as those provided by the Personal Finance Society/CII, however we would encourage and support the applicant to start the journey of taking relevant industry qualifications, and in the interview process it will be an advantage to have industry relevant qualifications. Whilst we would accept applicants without the relevant qualifications it is very important that the applicant can demonstrate a clear understanding of the Advice process; with empathy and acute awareness of the roles of Planning Support or Paraplanning, in order to understand the administrative process that the team go through in order to help your team solve pod and client issues. Where will I be working? We are recruiting for our St Albans office. This role is supporting client facing staff, and clients and therefore will form part of our front line distribution of financial services based in our offices. The ADM will be based out of one of our regional offices for a minimum of three days each week, working the remainder of the week from home, or if they choose the office. What benefits do I get when working for Saltus? Salary range of £40,000 – £50,000 dependent on experience and location, with a discretionary performance related bonus of up to 20% of salary based on completion of ADM Pod KPIs. This role also includes 28 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays and your birthday), study assistance, life assurance, income protection, private medical and a pension, alongside access to our flexible benefits platform. Just as importantly, you will get to experience our culture, which we really do live and breathe, ensuring that Saltus is a fantastic place to work for every single one of our 400 people. We work hard, but we have an awful lot of fun along the way. If you think you would like to come and join us, then please do get in touch… we would love to hear from you.
