EYFS Teaching Assistant – Primary School

This lovely primary school in East Birmingham is looking to appoint a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping to create a nurturing, engaging and stimulating environment. You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning through play, deliver small group activities and provide 1-2-1 support where needed. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that values creativity, care and early development. The school offers a supportive leadership team, a friendly staff environment and a strong focus on providing high-quality early years education.
Job Role:
1. Supporting children in the EYFS classroom on a 1-2-1 and small group basis
2. Assisting with the delivery of engaging, play-based learning activities
3. Helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
4. Supporting children’s social, emotional and communication development
5. Working closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team
6. Assisting with observations and tracking pupil progress
7. Encouraging independence and positive behaviour
8. Supporting the day-to-day running of the classroom
