Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team at Barons Lodge Care Home,Mitcham, providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. Duties
* Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
* Supporting individuals with their care plans tailored to their specific needs
* Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life
* Assisting with medication management in accordance with prescribed instructions
* Helping clients with meal preparation and ensuring nutritional requirements are met
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
* Communicating effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
* Driving to various locations for home care visits when required
* Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
* Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving travel between clients' homes or care settings
* Good command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with clients and team members
* Basic IT skills for documentation and accessing care plans electronically
* Strong communication skills, empathy, patience, and a respectful attitude towards clients' privacy and dignity
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* A genuine interest in caring for others and supporting their independence
