Your Role You will be working within the team responsible for providing a UK service to our customers whether collecting and delivering cargo to / from the airport Ground Handling Agents (GHA) for flight departures and arrivals, arranging special dedicated transport for urgent Express shipments or booking Temperature Controlled vehicles for pharmaceutical goods. Your role will be to co-ordinate both freight retrieval and deliveries from and to airline sheds / handling agents both efficiently and accurately with full customs legislation compliance, by ensuring effective planning and utilisation of the fleet and day to day management of drivers. Your Responsibilities - Truck route planning -?Work with Hauliers to drive business performance? - Customs compliance - adhere to laws, regulations and procedures governing the import and export of goods? - Cost control -?Review and optimise all processes to deliver volume utilisation & costs reductions - Projects -?Participate in key focus areas (when required)? - Overseeing and optimising relationships with suppliers?? - Support team metrics and proactively work with key stakeholders including Hauliers to consistently meet and exceed targets - Build strong, collaborative relationships with our customers putting their best interest at the forefront of everything we, do delivering consistently high levels of customer satisfaction Your Skills and Experiences - Minimum of 2 years' Experience in an International Air Logistics Forwarding environment - Fully conversant with all aspects of ERTS freight / transfer - Excellent written & verbal communication skills - Working hours: 4 on, 4 off, 19:00-07:00 - Onsite working: Will be expected onsite full time SECURITY VETTING REQUIRED: This position requires enhanced security clearance checks and by applying for this role you are agreeing to participate in the employment screening process.
