District Sales Manager Opportunity - Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex area
Claire's have an opportunity for a talented District Sales Manager to take charge of our a cluster of stores based around Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. This role can initially be offered as 12 Month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
With responsibility for approximately 15 of our stores including 4 top-performing stores, this role requires an ambitious Manager who will enjoy building upon a strong district that perfoms well.
We are keen to speak to candidates who are based within the district. The role is set up so that you would work 2 days a week from home, and the remaining 3 days visiting stores in the district. The district includes the following locations - Norwich, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Great Yarmouth, Colchester, Braintree Chelmsford, Romford, Thurrock and Braintree.
As a District Sales Manager at Claire's you'll lead, inspire and engage store management within your allocated district to achieve success in all performance-related measures.
Key accountabilities include:
* Driving same stores sales
* Consistently driving high levels of operational excellence across the district
* Encouraging store teams to exceed customer service standards
* Coaching and developing store management to optimize performance across the district and provide succession for the business
* Actively looking for ways to reduce costs for the business to maximize on profit
* Working collaboratively with Regional Managers, District Managers and key partners across the business to ensure result areas are aligned with Claire's business strategy, mission and values
What are we looking for?
To be considered for this role we are keen to speak to people with the following skills and experience:
* Valid driver's license
* Basic computer skills / Familiar with using a laptop
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
* 1-2 years multi-store management or 5 years store management experience required
* Understands the importance of Customer service
* Sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills
* Ability to analyse sales reports and strategically problem solve
* Ability to stand during scheduled shifts\Ability to manoeuvre up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
* Bending, stooping, extended reaching, climbing ladders and step stools while placing merchandise throughout the store and assisting Customers
* Ability to operate POS system
* Extensive travel required
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as needed
