HGV Class 1 Driver
Arrangements will be paid for by the company when required.
We are looking for HGV class 1 drivers who have the correct licences, hold a CPC card, enjoy dealing with people daily, possess excellent customer service skills, and understand the importance of health and safety within an organization.
In return, you'll receive full training, a competitive salary of £32,500 plus a regional allowance of £4,000, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, life assurance, Westfield Health Insurance, auto-enrollment pension, and access to retail discounts.
Responsibilities include:
* Load and unload machines according to company procedures, using appropriate equipment.
* Maintain the security of loads during loading, transportation, and delivery.
* Handover machines to customers and familiarize them with machine operation.
* Carry out daily checks on the vehicle and ancillary equipment.
* Comply with legislation regarding vehicle safety, tachographs, and working hours.
* Relay customer queries to depot staff as needed.
* Act as an ambassador for the company, providing high standards of customer care and politeness at all times.
* Accurately complete all relevant paperwork.
About you:
* You must hold an HGV class 1 license and a full CPC card.
* Be flexible with staying away from home, typically three nights per week (accommodation provided).
* Experience with driving low loader vehicles, delivering plant, or vehicle recovery is preferred, but full training can be provided.
* Understand the importance of customer service, as you will demonstrate equipment to customers.
* Have a demonstrable understanding of HGV vehicle safety and maintenance.
