We’re looking for a passionate and driven Sports Coach & Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team. What You’ll Do:
* Lead fun, inclusive PE lessons and sports activities across the school.
* Support classroom learning as a Teaching Assistant, helping pupils reach their full potential.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
* Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to boost confidence, resilience, and wellbeing.
* Run lunchtime and after-school clubs that promote teamwork, discipline, and self-belief.
* Work closely with staff to identify and support pupils who need extra encouragement.

✅ What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children in a school, coaching, or youth work setting.
* A recognised sports coaching qualification (e.g., Level 2 or above).Desired but not necessary
* A genuine passion for helping children grow — physically, emotionally, and socially.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude.
* An understanding of the challenges faced by children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Bonus Points For:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or mentor.
* First Aid certification.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
