Marine Operations Specialist
The role of a Marine Operations Specialist is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of vessels in various maritime environments. The specialist will be responsible for undertaking manoeuvring, navigation, and operations of the vessel while providing exceptional service throughout the transfer process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake safe and efficient manoeuvring, navigation, and operation of the vessel.
* Provide high-quality service during transfers and survey operations.
* Lead onboard training sessions and conduct necessary drills.
* Ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations and manage incident logs as required.
* Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the vessel according to established procedures.
* Monitor weather conditions and assess operational risks before each transfer to guarantee safe voyages.
* Support engineers with vessel maintenance tasks as needed and complete administrative tasks accurately.
* Foster a strong safety culture onboard and ensure crew familiarity with all safety equipment and protocols.
Essential Certifications:
* STCW Elementary First Aid
* STCW Fire Fighting
* STCW PST
* STCW PSSR
* ENG1 Medical
* Yachtmaster 200t Commercially Endorsed
* Short Range VHF
* GMDSS ROC or GOC
