We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools across the Teesside area, including Stockton and Middlesbrough. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential within a nurturing primary school environment. In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to support children’s learning. This may include one-to-one support, small group interventions, and assisting with classroom management and behaviour support. The ideal candidate will be able to: Work effectively as part of a classroom team, ensuring pupils are safe, supported, and engaged in learning Provide 1:1 support for children with SEND Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to support pupil progress Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting children Be enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable within the classroom Have experience supporting children with additional needs or barriers to learning (such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, VI, HI ) Promote and encourage independence, confidence, and personal development Experience that would be beneficial: SEND Teaching Assistant roles 1:1 support work Educational or school-based settings (especially primary) Health and Social Care settings Challenging behaviour settings Sports coaching or youth work Scouts or other leadership roles Ex-Forces background What Teaching Personnel offer: Your own dedicated consultant who will support you throughout your placement Competitive weekly pay between £450–£525 per week Weekly pay Access to CPD and ongoing training Refer-a-friend scheme We are looking for individuals available on a full-time or part-time basis to work in primary schools across Teesside.
