Town and Country Gardens is an established retail nursery with a beautiful purpose-built store in High Street, Malvern.
Stocking the highest quality plants, garden products, home and gift wares, we also provide a garden consultation and design service, offering professional and practical advice on establishing a new or renovating an existing garden. Our customers are the proud owners of some of Melbourne's finest gardens.
We have a casual (3+ days incl weekends) position for an experienced and motivated horticultural professional – to work in the nursery as well as developing and implementing our social media presence… all with a sense of fun!
Role includes:
* Nursery work – plant and nursery maintenance, sales and customer service
* Plant ID and selection
* Pest and disease ID
* Social Media work – creating and scheduling content, developing and implementing strategies and monitoring performance to improve engagement and reach
Applicants must have:
* strong experience in a retail nursery or garden centre
* qualifications in horticulture
* excellent plant knowledge
* experience with hardware, fertilizers and horticultural chemicals
* proven experience creating engaging and effective social media

* to be an enthusiastic self-starter
* to enjoy working in a fast paced environment
* to be physically fit (some heavy lifting)

This role will ideally suit someone who is flexible to work weekends and casually during the week. You must be able to provide 2 verbal referees from previous employment as well as examples of social media work undertaken to be considered for an interview.
