We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cook/Catering Assistant to join our team supporting vulnerable adults. This role involves preparing nutritious meals, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone we support.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and serve balanced meals and snacks in line with dietary requirements
Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
Assist with stock control, ordering, and food storage
Provide friendly, respectful service to vulnerable adults, staff, and visitors
Be willing to learn and operate the barista coffee machine
Work independently when required, as lone working may be involved
Follow all food safety, health, and safeguarding procedures
Requirements:
Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is an advantage but not essential
Kind, patient, and understanding approach when working with vulnerable adults
Good communication and teamwork skills
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check desirable if you do not have one we can send you a link top apply
Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above) desirable
