Location: Newark on Trent, NG 5NN (bordering Lincolnshire)
Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £, on completion of probation period.
At Serco, we support the development of the RAF’s next generation of aircrew, engineers, and air traffic controllers through our contract with the Air Cadet organisation. We maintain and manage their fleet of gliders. As our Aircraft Engineering Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in keeping these aircraft operational and in the air.
* You will carry out the responsibilities of Support Staff with Supervisory Responsibilities in accordance with Military Aviation Authority regulations.
* Lead and supervise engineering personnel maintaining Viking and other contract-related aircraft at RAF Syerston and other UK locations.
* Perform roles and duties as directed by business needs.
* The role is based at RAF Syerston and requires UK-wide mobility.
* Be a key member of our aviation team, supporting each other, with career progression, flexible working, and early Friday finishes.
Requirements:
* Experience or training: MOD Phase 2 technical training or civilian equivalent.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in civilian or armed forces trade.
* Strong fault diagnosis, technical competence, and good communication skills.
* Full driving license and medically fit for aircraft engineering environment.
