EYFS Teaching Assistant Whetstone, North London Full time Start after half-term Trial day: Friday 13th December Vision Teaching is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Whetstone to recruit a dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant to join their team after half-term. Set on a spacious, green site surrounded by nature, this two-form entry school provides a calm and inspiring environment where children are encouraged to enjoy learning, build confidence and achieve their potential. The school has a strong inclusive ethos, including specialist provision for pupils with Education Health Care Plans for cognition and learning or autism, and is committed to ensuring every child feels supported and valued. The role: You will support teaching and learning within Nursery and Reception, working alongside the class teacher and Early Years team to deliver high-quality provision for all pupils. The role includes supporting learning through play, leading small group activities and providing targeted support for children with additional needs. Key responsibilities: Support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework Deliver small group and one-to-one interventions Assist with planning, preparation and classroom organisation Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and independence Help maintain a safe, engaging and inclusive environment Work collaboratively with staff and parents The ideal candidate will have: Experience working within an EYFS or early years setting A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum A caring, patient and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting young children’s development Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential What the school offers: A friendly and supportive team A well-resourced learning environment with extensive outdoor space Opportunities for professional development A strong commitment to inclusion and staff wellbeing Visits to the school are welcomed.
