Electrical Engineer - Low Voltage
Our client, an energy infrastructure company, is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems. This role is based in Rochester within the Oil & Gas, Energy, and Construction industries, for a 12-month contract inside IR35.
Role
The Electrical Engineer will support the Terminal Program Delivery Manager, ensuring effective administration of project work scopes within the asset Re-life extension team. Responsibilities include overseeing project stages and reviewing contractor designs for efficient delivery.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the technical adequacy of engineering and design, including reviewing contractor deliverables and collaborating with contractors.
* Coordinate development of pre-contract scope, specifications, and schedules.
* Manage the Management of Change (MOC) program and monitor supplier compliance.
* Oversee projects such as Phase 1 Tank Base Heating Replacement, LNG Pump cable seal replacement, LV and HV switchgear upgrades, backup power assessments, transformer upgrades, and supporting various engineering disciplines.
Experience
* Experience working on Upper Tier COMAH sites.
* Experience with Low Voltage, 3.3kV, 6.6kV, and 11kV switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems.
* Degree or HND qualification; ideally a Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
