We are currently recruiting for a Credit Control Team Leader to join our established Finance team in Dudley. The main responsibility as the Credit Control Team Leader will be to ensure the team achieve Cash, Debt and other targets associated with the control and reduction of the company DSO along with the effective line management of 7 front line Team members.
The day to day responsibilities are;
1. Manage the processes associated with prompt collection of debts and maintenance of accounts
2. Maintain age debt profile within business parameters
3. Ensure the team keep up to date on individual tasks
4. Manage the team to achieve targets set
5. Challenge and manage performance outputs effectively and through formal processes where necessary
6. Lead, engage & direct as appropriate, understand and produce key performance indicators to ensure the team’s performance is maximised
7. Ensure the team are customer focused and delivers required levels of service at all times
8. Build, strengthen and improve customer relationships
9. Communicates daily objectives and shares helpful information with the team/individuals
10. Monitors progress of objectives and takes action to ensure delivery to agreed timescales and cost
11. Ensure relevant controls are in place and executed to audit team against KPI’s and processes
Requirements
To be considered for the Credit Control Team Leader role based in Dudley you must have experience in managing strategic customers.
Ideally you will also have the following;
12. ICM qualification would be an advantage
13. Previous experience in a management role showcasing excellent leadership skills
14. Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel and GoogleSuite
15. Passion for initiating and facilitating continuous improvement
16. Ability to understand business policies and procedures as they impact on the job role and business activity
17. Accuracy with record keeping
18. Excellent spoken & written communication skills
19. Ability to plan, manage & prioritise yourself and others
20. Experience working to and meeting targets

Whilst our Finance team come from a range of different backgrounds, we find most of our Credit Controllers have previously worked as Payroll Specialists, Finance Administrators, Administrators, Customer Service Administrators, Payroll Assistants or have administrative experience within a Finance Department.
