GLODOCS Specialist I – Manchester, IL
The GLODOCS Specialist I is an integral part of Latham's Global Document Services (GLODOCS) team. The role is located in our Manchester office and may be eligible for a flexible hybrid schedule. The workday runs Tuesday through Saturday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM GMT.
Responsibilities
* Complete core-level projects in Word, including creating new documents, formatting, generating Tables of Contents, and adding cross‑references.
* Complete core-level projects in Excel, including creating new workbooks/sheets, formatting cells/tables/rows/columns, and using simple formulas.
* Complete core-level projects in PowerPoint, including revising slides, inserting/revising text, adding graphics, and reapplying slide design and layout.
* Use Acrobat Professional to compress PDF files, create searchable or non‑searchable PDFs, and crop pages as needed.
* Possess basic knowledge of applications typical in a legal word‑processing environment, such as MS Office Suite, Acrobat, Visio, and related software.
* Demonstrate the ability to learn new software and procedures.
* Show well‑developed, professional interpersonal skills, interacting effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm.
Qualifications
* A high school diploma or equivalent.
* Microsoft certifications in Word Core, Excel Core, and PowerPoint (preferred).
* Related experience working as a document specialist at a professional services organization.
* Basic familiarity with MS Office, Acrobat, Visio, and related applications.
* Strong learning aptitude for new software and procedures.
* Professional interpersonal skills suitable for a legal environment.
