Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to a individual in a home setting. This is a bespoke, holistic package of support and the right applicant for this role would need to be able to demonstrate empathy, reliablility adaptability and being able to work professionally within a small team and individually.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing, safety, and independence of the client with complex needs. A sense of humour and a sunny disposition is also vital to this role, giving an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a person's life through attentive caregiving and personalised support.
Duties
* Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
* Provide patient care tailored to individual needs, including medication administration and health monitoring
* Support clients by making and administrating feeds as required
* Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
* Administer first aid in emergency situations following established protocols
* Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental wellbeing
* Document care provided accurately in accordance with organisational policies
* Collaborate with family members and colleagues to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
* Prior experience in home care is highly desirable but not essential.
* Valid driving licence is essential due to rural location.
* First aid certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided
* Strong communication skills and compassionate nature
* Ability to be able to think out of the box .
* Effectively handling challenging situations with patience and kindness.
* Willingness to undertake ongoing training related to caregiving practices and medication administration
* Flexibility to work shifts as required, including full days or nights if needed.
