Understanding consumer needs is central to product development. As part of the Claims, KBS, and Performance team, you will provide high-quality technical insights and data to support our Global Innovation Portfolio. This 100% laboratory-based role involves deploying performance tests under consumer-relevant conditions to design formulations, support product communications, and develop product demonstrations. We adopt a digital-first approach, capturing data using tools like ELN and SDC.
Job Purpose
You will join the Claims, KBS, and Performance group within the Homecare Liquids & Capsules Global R&D team, working closely with global formulation, digital, and performance teams. Your responsibilities include executing laboratory experiments for product assessment, claim support, and demo development, and generating reports in ELN & SDC.
Responsibilities
* Conduct wash experiments for performance and sensory testing to support formulation assessment, new technology evaluation, performance modeling, claims, and product demos.
* Prepare for performance testing, including fabric and stain ordering and laboratory setup. Perform post-wash measurements and analyze data.
* Operate various laboratory equipment such as washing machines, dryers, and small-scale appraisal tools.
* Plan and organize fabric, stain, and stock requirements to meet testing needs.
* Analyze data and report results with high quality using digital and Microsoft tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Use digital tools (ELN & SDC) to document and report experiment outcomes.
* Manage team budget using Easy Budget and report monthly.
* Prepare and send fabrics, stains, and products to external labs.
* Attend team meetings and plan laboratory work weekly with an agile mindset.
* Follow safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.
About You
Key Skills
* Strong organization and time-management skills
* Excellent communication and proactive attitude
* Proficiency in digital tools like MS Excel, PowerPoint, ELN & SDC, and clear reporting skills
* Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Essential Criteria
* BSc or MSc (or equivalent) in Physical Sciences or Engineering (Textiles or Chemistry)
Desirable Criteria
* Experience in FMCG or detergents sector
* Textile or washing machine testing experience

* This is a fully laboratory-based role requiring full-time presence.
