Job Summary
AFS Limited require a Compressed Air Service Engineer, with either a mechanical or electrical bias, to join an expanding service team operating out of its Trafford Park office.
Responsibilities
* Effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment
* Pipework installations
* Undertake planned and preventative maintenance on compressors, dryers and a range of ancillary equipment on compressed air systems
* Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repair
* Install and commission compressors and compressed air systems
* Recommend additional works that may assist customers or enhance the company’s performance
* Maintain good professional working relationships with all existing and new customers
* Maintain company vehicle, PPE, testing and other company equipment in accordance with guidelines
Basic Qualifications
* Experience in the compressed air industry desired
* Experience with low pressure compressed air systems required
* Experience with high pressure compressed air systems desirable but not essential
* Good interpersonal and IT skills
* Desire to provide a high quality of workmanship & ‘can do’ attitude
* Current UK driving licence
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
* Field based role, operating out of Trafford Park office
* Must be willing to travel throughout the UK with occasional overnight stays as required
* Previous experience of working with compressed air equipment
* Previous experience in a field-based service role
* Sound electrical & mechanical fault-finding experience
* Friendly approach with good inter‑personal skills
* Candidate needs to be able to work alone but also work well with the existing team
* Working knowledge of EHS processes, documentation, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Personal Safety
