A director-level role with major project experience and ability to engage and work collaboratively with a large team of partners and key stakeholders. The design integration lead will work with partner engineering design leads to support programme delivery.

Due to strict security requirements, candidates must be UK nationals and will need to progress through security clearance and travel to multiple UK-based project offices.

You’ll be responsible for:

* Driving proactive performance management of process plant and equipment (PP&E) integrated design delivery based on partner supplied data.
* Building key stakeholder relationships at a working level, including encouraging co-location working with the wider PP&E team.
* Leading weekly drumbeat meetings including PLOWs and weekly progress reviews.
* Managing monthly reviews to drive accountability and understanding of performance.
* Writing PP&E aspects into monthly reports for IPPR through Power BI summaries across project aspects.
* Reporting PP&E status to the Integration director at IPPR.
* Reviewing risk & opportunities registers with PP&E to understand mitigation status and articulate impacts through weekly/monthly reviews.
* Supporting LFE by participating in monthly lessons learned meetings and capturing opportunities for project improvement.
* Collaborating with design & assurance leads to understand any scope changes and their impacts.
* Applying strong problem-solving and analytical skills across cost, scheduling, procurement, contracts, financial controls, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
* Adapting to changing priorities within a challenging client and partner environment.
* Challenging constructively to ensure robust solutions and partner inputs.
* Escalating issues requiring senior stakeholder involvement, such as resourcing problems.
* Implementing trend and change processes to maintain governance and compliance.
* Fostering collaborative working relationships with programme disciplines such as planners, risk managers, and reporting managers, including working in hub locations for issue resolution.
* Assessing PP&E PfAs line-by-line monthly for programmatic and contractual issues, and reporting findings to the delivery lead.
* Adhering to the published management system arrangements.
* Collaborating with the delivery and lifecycle optimisation leads on future phase strategies and improvements.

You’ll need to have:

* Experience of managing complex major projects.
* Experience working in a fast-paced project environment.
* SQEP training for nuclear engineering/design/PM roles.
* Experience in nuclear or high-security sectors is desirable.
* Proven ability in technical problem solving and interpreting project performance management discussions involving design/engineering (mechanical, electrical, control systems).
* Thorough understanding of product lifecycle planning and management principles.
* Ability to identify project and system interfaces/dependencies to influence critical paths.
* Effective communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to influence cross-functionally within the client's organizational structure.
