Procurement Manager – About the Role
As Procurement Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing all direct and indirect spend, overseeing supply chain KPIs, and ensuring inventory levels are maintained. You’ll work closely with department heads, external partners, and suppliers to ensure products are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
Take ownership of all direct and indirect spend across the organisation
Lead, manage, and develop the Procurement team
Monitor and deliver on supply chain KPIs including quality, delivery, and cost savings
Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support business operations
Get involved early at quotation/contract stage to ensure smooth delivery for customers
Build strong relationships with department heads, suppliers, and external partners
Lead supplier negotiations, contracts, and audits
Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and relevant regulations
The successful Procurement Manager will have:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar procurement leadership role
Proven people management and team development skills
Strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities
Excellent commercial awareness and decision-making skills
Experience managing both UK and international suppliers, ideally including the Far East
Ability to work effectively in an SME environment, with a hands-on, adaptable approach

Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
Calm and effective under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communicator, able to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels
