Responsibilities
1. Patient meal service
o Deliver food trucks to appropriate nursing units at designated meal times and pick them up according to department policies.
2. Safety programs
o Understand HASAP and proper food handling procedures.
3. Goals and objectives
o Participate in all staff meetings.
4. Systems and processes
o Support policies and procedures of the department.
5. Work efficiency
o Use time efficiently to complete work assignments.
o Consistently practice 'clean as you go' and keep work area clean and organized.
6. Dishwashing duties
o Tend, load, and clean dish machine; wash pots and pans.
o Record operating temperatures on the temperature sheet each morning.
7. Patient tray setup
o Assemble prepared food and beverages on trays for all diets in a timely manner.
8. Cafeteria work
o Charge correct prices when cashing out customers, according to the price list.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Four weeks of on-the-job training to become proficient.
Licensure: Food safety certification preferred.
Additional Information
Knowledge of food safety is a plus. Must understand, speak, and read English. Ability to work as part of a team, collaborate, and be open to constructive learning.
