Tax Specialist

About the Role
As a Senior Operational Tax Analyst, you will be a subject matter expert across all aspects of operational tax. You’ll ensure the accurate delivery of key tax and regulatory reporting, support the integrity of our tax data, and provide quality assurance across our client reporting processes.
You’ll also act as an escalation point for complex tax queries, support the development of the wider team, and contribute specialist insight to projects and change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver timely and accurate regulatory reporting, including:
* UK & US tax reporting
* FATCA
* Common Reporting Standard (CRS)
* ISA reporting
Partner with the Corporate Actions team to ensure correct tax treatment of dividends, including Group 1 & Group 2 positions and equalisation.
Act as an escalation point for internal and client tax queries, providing clear, expert guidance.
Drive “right‑first‑time” processing by working proactively with operational teams and sharing best practice.
Provide quality assurance across client reporting to ensure accurate tax treatments.
Monitor compliance with the US Qualifying Intermediaries regime, ensuring documentation and returns are complete and accurate.
Support training, coaching, and development of team members.
Maintain the integrity of Capital Gains Tax (CGT) data, overseeing system controls and file transfers.
Oversee taxation treatment within corporate actions processing.
Contribute specialist technical input to projects, change activity, and process improvement initiatives.
