Job Description:
Are you passionate about data-driven insights? Would you like to earn an additional qualification while you work? Then we have the right opportunity for you.
As a Graduate Data Scientist Apprentice, you will be working towards a Level 7 (MSc equivalent) qualification. Your learning journey will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors to become a fully-fledged data scientist by the time you finish. You will work within one of the biggest employers in the North East; our employees and community are at the heart of what we do.
You will manage data from end to end, starting with querying databases—proficiency in SQL is preferred, and willingness to learn is essential. You will then use R/Python to build models and generate business insights. You will communicate your findings to the business using tools like Excel, R Shiny, or Power BI.
You will contribute to shaping the management and development of key administrative processes, working with partners on data development, design, production, and distribution. You will help maintain, analyze, and improve the Financial Advice Management Information (MI) suite to support the growth of Newcastle Financial Advisers.
With support from your manager and mentor, you will have objectives to ensure your development during your apprenticeship. We offer opportunities beyond traditional apprenticeships, including team challenge projects with our Early Talent community.
Applying is simple—submit a short application form and CV via our online portal.
