Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Instrument Designer to work on a PSC contract working outside IR35. This role will be based in our Aberdeen Offices and hybrid working is required 3 days per week. Must have extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. Offshore trips will be required,
Qualifications:
1. Minimum ISCED level 5 short-cycle tertiary education in engineering discipline
2. Must have valid Offshore Certs and be willing to go offshore
Knowledge, skills and experience:
3. A full understanding of the materials and methods normally used in their discipline
4. An understanding of related engineering principles and practices, plus training and diversified experience in the field of activity is required
5. Capable of interpreting key documents including; engineering standards, piping material specifications, P&IDs and Line Lists
6. Technically oriented, mechanically inclined, good at mathematics and talented at translating intangible concepts into hands-on project plans
7. Competent user of CAD/D software
