Study leave: 18 days (10 days general, 5 days private, 3 days for exams/interviews). Study budget: £650/year.
The ED rota includes evening, night, weekend, and bank holiday shifts. LTFT enquiries are welcome.
Applicants must have at least 24 months NHS experience. This advert is open to ST1/2 and ST3+ applicants.
Main duties of the job
1. Organise and deliver MDT teaching for the ED
2. Provide medical student teaching
3. Support medical students on ED placement and assist with their induction
4. Organise medical student supervision rota during their presence in the department
5. Partake in simulation training
6. Organise SHO or middle grade teaching programmes, supported by the medical education lead
7. Collect and analyse feedback from teaching sessions
8. Produce the Education Newsletter and maintain the Education board
9. Provide feedback on peers' teaching and complete assessments as appropriate
10. Deliver virtual teaching
11. Support regional training days hosted by Frimley ED
12. Collaborate with other ED fellows to expand their experience and support each other's projects
