Are you an experienced teacher looking to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are working with a specialist SEMH school in Milton Keynes seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team. This role offers the chance to work in a supportive, values-driven environment where pupil progress is measured not just academically but personally and socially too.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
* Support pupils\' emotional wellbeing and personal growth
* Apply positive behaviour management and trauma-informed practices
* Collaborate effectively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and other professionals
* Build strong, supportive relationships with families and carers
* Monitor and celebrate student progress across all areas of development
Qualifications
* QTS or equivalent (essential)
* Experience teaching pupils with SEMH or other SEND needs
* A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
* Strong behaviour management skills with a focus on positive reinforcement
* Creative and adaptable in planning and delivery
* Commitment to inclusive and personalised education
