Summary:
The Loan Consultant I provides exceptional customer experience while offering personal loan solutions. This role focuses on building a customer base through sales, loan extensions, and merchant referrals. Success is measured by customer experience, business generation, compliance, achievement of monthly goals, and accuracy.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
* Greet, assist, and solicit individuals entering the office and calling by phone; process credit and employment verifications; record information; process payments; recommend loan approvals; approve loans within limits; complete loan closings; handle account activities related to collections, including calls and face-to-face communications.
* Prepare reports, correspondences, transaction documentation; operate cash drawer; process bank deposits; maintain records; close the branch.
* Actively market all branch products and services to individuals.
* Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Basic Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
* 0-2 years of consumer finance or related experience.
* Cash handling, computer skills, customer service skills.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.
* Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Compensation:
* Salary range: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour, based on experience.
* Eligible for quarterly incentives based on performance.
Work Environment:
* Office setting.
