Peaple Talent have exclusively partnered with a renewables energy supplier who are recruiting for a Business Development Manager who has a proven track record in new business development and full-cycle sales within the Solar industry and or similar applicable industries e.g. energy, engineering or construction. You will be driving and developing long term customer relationships company’s growth across the commercial solar sector.
Hybrid role with regular visits to the Warwickshire office
£50,000 - £70,000pa + commission
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities
from initial engagement through to contract award. you will act as a ambassador for
organisation and will lead client conversations, qualify opportunities and position tailored solar
solutions.
* New Business Acquisition: Proactively identify, research, and engage potential customers, sectors, and routes to market.
* Lead Generation & Qualification: Build and maintain a strong early-stage pipeline through networking, outreach, referrals, and industry events.
* Consultative Sales: Lead customer conversations to understand customer needs and map them to tailored solar PV and energy solutions.
* Full-Cycle Opportunity Management: Manage opportunities from first contact through proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.5. 6. 7. 8.
* Commercial Engagement: Run client meetings, prepare and present proposals and business cases, and lead commercial negotiations.
* Market Intelligence: Maintain awareness of industry trends, financing models, competitor offerings, and regulatory drivers that influence customer decision-making.
* CRM and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity, opportunity progress, and forecasts within the CRM system.
* Internal Collaboration: Work closely with project development, technical, and delivery teams to ensure proposals align with delivery capability and client expectations.
