The job itself
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (Level 3) to join our dedicated Occupational Therapy service in the East Riding. This is an exciting internal opportunity to support people to live safely and independently within their own homes, working alongside qualified Occupational Therapists to deliver practical, person‑centred interventions.
As a Level 3 OTA, you will play a key role in assessing functional needs, supporting the provision of equipment and minor adaptations, and helping individuals regain or maintain independence in their daily routines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out delegated assessments and interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
2. Support with the provision, fitting, and review of daily living equipment
3. Contribute to minor and major adaptations to promote safety and independence
4. Work collaboratively with service users, families, carers, and partner agencies
5. Maintain clear and accurate case records in line with council policies
6. Promote wellbeing, independence, and a strengths‑based approach in all interactions
7. Participate in team meetings, training, and service development activities

13. Experienced in care, rehabilitation, therapy support or a similar field (desirable)
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is usually required due to the nature of the role.
