Overview
Join to apply for the Newly Qualified Social Worker (ASYE) role at Somerset Council. This 12‑month programme offers a positive introduction to social work with children in Somerset and to the profession in general. It is a permanent position and part of Somerset’s succession planning. Relocation allowance may be available if you move to Somerset.
Responsibilities
* You will be supported by your allocated Consultant Social Worker (CSW), your Team Manager and your team to achieve your potential.
* Opportunities for a varied but protected caseload will be offered enabling you to complete the ASYE.
* You are required to complete a portfolio assessed against the DfE Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS); study time is provided to undertake research, reflect and complete portfolio paperwork.
* From day one you will have access to AI technology such as Magic Notes to reduce administrative time.
Qualifications
* You must have a recognised and professional Social Work qualification obtained within the last four years.
* We want NQSWs to have high aspirations and a willingness to learn and develop.
* A valid UK driving licence is required.
