Pay and Hours
Shift Leader pay starts from £14.76 per hour, increasing to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
Role and Responsibilities
Customers are at the heart of everything we do.
As a Shift Leader you will oversee store operations on the shop floor, supporting the team to keep operations running smoothly and delivering a positive customer experience. You will face various challenges and help improve service for customers, colleagues, and communities.
* Work in a fast-paced retail environment with variety
* Take ownership of running duty shifts and coordinate the team to maintain a clean, well-stocked store
* Assist customers to ensure they find what they came for
* Coach colleagues and provide feedback to the team to improve service
* Guide and support colleagues to maintain a safe store and shopping environment
* Understand store performance and support managers in action plans to improve operations
* Lead by example and set a high standard for the team

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Coordinating the store team to deliver an easy, fuss-free shopping experience
* Supporting colleagues to meet daily priorities and take regular breaks
* Opening/closing the store and arranging duty cover with safety in mind
* Being the go-to person for day-to-day queries in the absence of a manager
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-presented store
* Supporting managers with seasonal, community, and charity events
* Contributing to a positive, inclusive team atmosphere
* Providing excellent customer service by listening to customers
* Keeping the team informed of communications and updates
* Staying informed about store performance and seeking improvements
* Coordinating store improvements and removing obstacles to service
* Following and enforcing health and safety procedures
* Recognising and celebrating colleagues who deliver great service
