About the Role
As an Artistic Youth Worker, you will support students both on a 1:1 basis and within small groups, using creative and sensory approaches to enhance engagement, communication, and emotional development. Your work will play a vital role in helping pupils build confidence and connect with learning.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting students’ emotional wellbeing and educational progress through creative methods
* Using art, drama, music, or movement to encourage expression and engagement
* Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to deliver personalised learning plans
* Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Supporting students in developing emotional regulation and participating in daily school life
About You
We are seeking an individual who:
* Has experience or qualifications in the arts, drama, creative therapies, or a related field
* Has worked with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASD and SEMH
* Is adaptable, empathetic, and confident in a dynamic environment
* Brings creativity, patience, and enthusiasm to their work
* Is committed to promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for all students
