Job Description:
Do you have a background in heavy plant or off-highway vehicle diagnostics and customer support? We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide expert assistance to external customers and internal departments.
Role Overview: Working in a dedicated team, you will be responsible for a specific product range for a major vehicle manufacturer & distributor, acting as the technical expert for construction vehicles. Your duties include providing specialist technical support, ensuring exceptional service, and optimizing machinery performance. Technical queries may range from oil specifications to complex diagnostics requiring research and analysis.
This role is ideal for someone with strong diagnostics and customer support experience, looking to advance their career in the construction and off-highway heavy plant & equipment industry.
Core Competencies:
* Experience with heavy plant or similar construction machinery is highly desirable. Knowledge of brands such as CAT, Develon, Doosan, Hitachi, Volvo, Komatsu, Liebherr, Terex, Hydrema is advantageous. Experience with commercial vehicles, agricultural plant, or military vehicles is also relevant.
* Previous experience as a Service Engineer, Workshop Engineer, or Support Engineer is highly desirable.
* Proven diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Willingness to learn new technologies and effective information dissemination.
* Engineering qualification such as NVQ, C&G, BTEC, or Degree level, or equivalent experience.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong IT proficiency.
* Team player, adaptable to job requirements.
